Of Exam Tensions & Delicious Designs April 25, 2008

Cribbing time!
College exams coming up and the tension’s mounting by the hour!
On a brighter note, I surprised myself with some of the recent photoshop work I’ve done. It’s no more the amateur-ish type. It makes more sense than it used to – an obvious improvement. Will share some of the work online once that can be done. Still, no matter how mature your design work gets, it is after all symbolic of the mind’s playing around with worldly concepts and representing them graphically. It’s just so much fun!
I’ve somehow come to make a general relation between mental depression and designing, there’s enough evidence, for me personally, that such a connection exists. I’ll find out for sure!
Gorilla Gazing Anyone? April 21, 2008

I’m not much into mobile filmmaking, but for those game for some competition, NOKIA Mobile Filmmaking Awards has a weird prize on offer.
“Win a trip to a Rwandan Gorilla Reserve” – it said in bold in the online Ad. They say it’s about what you give and not what you get, but this is ridiculous!
Anyways back in the blogosphere, Tracy makes a hearty mention of this weblog. Thank you, and I take this opportunity to reciprocate. It’s obvious isn’t it?
Rashmi, my classmate has her own weblog Ecklecktica. Hmm…took me a while to get the name right, but it’s encouraging to just know that there’s other students who’re bold enough to express their sentiments of life openly online, especially when it comes to academics, the main reason we’re here anyways, or is it?!
. I remember I had a BlogSpot myself, whatever happened to that only Blogger.com knows! I’m here now.
Keep the posts coming guys! Light up the darkness, makes life well worth it! Read and write – blog! What’ve you got to loose anyway!
NIFT Situation Test April 18, 2008

Gave the NIFT 2008 Situation test on the 13th at NIFT, New Delhi. I made a table lamp cum pen holder. Hmm…I don’t know, I tried some pretty goofy stuff there, not elegant at all, elegance is my thing usually, but with those particular materials that were given – nah! It just wasn’t it. But what’s more important is what the judges are looking for. I will no doubt make it to any one of the centres. It’s not safe to get choosy at the moment.
I wouldn’t like to comment on what anyone else made, but one girl made this ’structure’ that was like ‘coming alive’ as if it would grow three times even as you look at at. Experimentation was sure taken to the limits. I didn’t even have a reserved seat, they had to make arrangements.
Frequent Fun April 13, 2008

Of all my wildest fantasies, never could I have imagined I’d evolve into the kind of earthly species we call frequent flier. I flew twice today and there’s another flight scheduled for soon. Boy I’m tired and ready to return to college. Oh yeah, and Kingfisher Airlines rocks my socks! OOh-La-La-La-La-Loo-Le-Oh! Who could have expected to get to watch much treasured episodes from Tom & Jerry and Yogi Bear several thousand feet above the ground! Plus Dad got me those delicious Rum pasteries from Flury’s at the City of Joy. Brings back childhood memories. Park Street was cool, at least the babes and chicks, the “brand label” aura was there, and somewhat less confusing geography than Delhi’s trashy Connaught Place. But why would we pay attention to the giggling babes anyway? They’re so many of them it kind of gets monotonous! They even dress and talk the same way. No variety, no spunk! Everyone sports the “NRI Look”, yay what fun! Ugh!

Priyam’s having a nice time with his “Art of Living classes” …[edited to maintain peace]… If you’d just say nicer things and be more supportive, you wouldn’t have to take professional help Priyam.
*Meanwhile*
They (in college) say I’m girlish, that i walk like a girl, that I’m gay. Like ugh! How does it matter? Besides these are your personality traits and I think no one should have a forceful opinion about this. I never felt I walked like a girl or was to be linked any closer to girls than to boys. I am a normal human being, and I have NO expectations from you.
